Adverse weather – courier delays!

Heavy rain has caused severe flooding in many South island destinations, which will have a severe impact on the road freight network. This will mean that a large portion of freight has unfortunately missed the connections with South Island destinations.

There will be no day run courier services at all today due to several road closures along State Highway 1 and surrounding areas. This includes Timaru, Dunedin, Oamaru, Ashburton and will also include the Greymouth day run due to a bridge wash out before Porters Pass.NZ Couriers will do their utmost to maintain delivery standards however the weather is completely out of their control and the safety of staff and contractors will always be the priority. Further updates on weather conditions can be found on the below link to the Metservice website:

PLEASE NOTE: DELIVERY OF YOUR SAMPLES TO THE LABORATORY IN AFFECTED AREAS WILL BE DELAYED! Some referral test results may also be affected especially those tests sent to our Dunedin laboratory (trace elements predominantly).

If you have any questions, please just contact your local laboratory – 0800 GRIBBLES. Stay dry and stay safe.
