Miriam Reddy

Originally from India, Miriam moved to New Zealand in 1996 with her family. She studied at the University of Otago in Dunedin where she gained a Master’s degree in Haematology in 2004.
Miriam’s professional career has included work in hospital and private laboratories in Auckland and the United Kingdom. She has worked in the field of pathology for over 15 years now, and made the switch to veterinary pathology in 2013 working as a senior scientist at Awanui Veterinary, Auckland in Haematology. In 2018, along with her husband and two boys, Miriam moved to the UK and worked in Haematology and Blood Transfusion at Northwick Park Hospital, London.
Miriam is very happy to have returned home to New Zealand, especially since she arrived back after the rules regarding MIQ had changed in 2022 – no quarantine!
In her spare time Miriam loves to bake and indulge in making bespoke cakes for family and friends. She loves to relax with a good book where possible and enjoys trying out different cuisines.
