Gribbles Veterinary Auckland
Gribbles Veterinary Auckland provide diagnostic laboratory services to veterinary practitioners in the northern part of the North Island. Situated in Penrose, the laboratory offers a full range of diagnostic testing including biochemistry, haematology, immunology, endocrinology, parasitology, histopathology and cytology to clients in small and large animal practice. As part of the Gribbles Veterinary network, we are able to offer an extensive range of tests including a number of real time PCR assays. We are a dedicated and client-focused team comprising clinical pathologists, anatomical pathologists, scientists, technical and administration staff.
Our quality systems include International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) accreditation to ISO 17025.

Gribbles Veterinary Hamilton
Located in the heart of the Waikato, center of dairy farming and agricultural research, Gribbles Veterinary Hamilton is housed in a 1000 square metre building purpose built in 2001. We have a total of forty staff including four veterinary pathologists and thirty veterinary technicians, including specialist technical experts in each of the laboratory departments.
The laboratory is well equipped with state of the art instrumentation such as the Roche Modular biochemistry analyser and the ADVIA 120 haematology analyser which enables same day turnaround on clinical pathology cases received up to 4:45pm. The laboratory is open 6:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 12:00noon on Saturdays, and operates an after hours call service.

Gribbles Veterinary Palmerston North
Gribbles Veterinary Palmerston North provides a comprehensive range of veterinary pathology services to the local and national veterinary community. The laboratory comprises 20 staff and has expertise in histopathology, clinical pathology, serology, parasitology, microbiology, haematology and biochemistry. The Palmerston North serology laboratory is the national referral laboratory for a number of diseases not tested at other commercial laboratories within New Zealand. The Palmerston North laboratory is also home to the Gribbles Veterinary molecular diagnostic facility, run by Dr David Tisdall and offering a diverse range of PCR assays aimed at both large and small animal disease identification. Also on the staff we have Dr Phil McKenna providing world-class parasitology expertise for our national network. The Palmerston North laboratory also provides New Zealand's most comprehensive commercial Export Certification and Testing Service, assisting exporters with certification requirements for the overseas export of live animals.

Gribbles Veterinary Christchurch
Gribbles Veterinary Christchurch is located in a purpose built laboratory in the centre of Christchurch. Gribbles Veterinary Christchurch provides pathology testing for both rural and urban veterinary clinics. The main customer base is in the South Island, roughly from Oamaru northwards. The laboratory processes in excess of 25,000 cases each year from over 100 individual veterinary clinics. Half of these cases are from small animals, the remaining cases are from large animal clinics, zoo animals or feral animals.
The laboratory also participates in surveillance / control programs for Bovine TB, TSE and Varroa bee-mites. This service is provided through a multi-disciplinary service for biochemistry, haematology, microbiology, parasitology and cytology/histology supported by a team of 16 staff including 9 laboratory technicians and 3 Veterinary pathologists.

Gribbles Veterinary Dunedin
The laboratory is located at the Invermay Research Centre on the Taieri Plains, 10km from Dunedin. There is a dedicated team of 14 full and part time staff at the laboratory, many of who have worked here for over 25 years.
We provide a wide range of diagnostic services including; biochemistry, haematology, microbiology, parasitology, toxicology, nutritional chemistry and histology. Our veterinary pathologist, Dr John Gill, with almost 30 years experience at Invermay, has a wealth of knowledge on animal health issues in the region.
In keeping with the need to maintain rapid and reliable turnaround of results, we use state of the art automation for clinical biochemistry, haematology and trace elements. In 1992, the laboratory’s chemistry section was the first veterinary pathology laboratory in New Zealand to gain IANZ (Telarc) accreditation.
Gribbles Dunedin has long been at the forefront of trace element monitoring in animal health. , enabling the veterinarian to give prompt advice on management of trace elements on the farm.
The laboratory also operates a comprehensive chemical and microbiological analytical service, specialising in food, water and feed and meal analyses. This service is fully IANZ and LAS accredited.
