Cathy graduated from Massey University with a Batchelor of Veterinary Science in 1987. From 1987 to 1990 Cathy worked in mixed animal practice in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Following this she studied anatomical pathology in the United States at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in Philadelphia and at the San Diego Zoo in California. Cathy completed her boards and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 1997. In 1999, after travelling through Africa, Cathy returned to New Zealand as a Pathologist at the AgriQuality Animal Health Laboratory in Auckland.
In 2002 Cathy joined Gribbles Veterinary Pathology. Cathy has published several papers and presented lectures, most recently on protozoal diseases of birds. Her expertise is in Histopathology, Cytology and Clinical Pathology of all species. Her special interests include pathology of wildlife, zoo animals, birds and reptiles.
Personal interests are travel and mountain biking.
