Dr Brian Cox
BVSc, BSc
Brian has a degree in chemistry and veterinary science and worked as an industrial chemist prior to graduation from Massey University in 1977. He has had 22 years experience in both anatomical and clinical pathology.
Due to his interest in chemistry Brian was actively involved in trace element research and spearheaded the establishment of the first clinical pathology section at Lincoln Animal Health Laboratory. He also has management experience and acted as veterinary team leader and laboratory manager at various stages.
In 2003 Brian returned to laboratory medicine after 5 years in small animal and mixed practices. He found the experience invaluable in helping him understand the needs of laboratory clients.
Brian’s current fields of interest are Clinical Pathology and Trace Element Nutrition of livestock. Personal interests are music, tramping and sea kayaking.
